How much does a website cost in Valdosta?
For a normal local business in the Valdosta area, expect $250 a month for a subscription website that's built, hosted, and maintained for you, or $6,500 to $9,500 to build one outright. Anything under $1,000 total is a template; anything over $15,000 is for a much bigger business than most.
Website prices around here fall into three groups. A do-it-yourself builder (Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy) costs $20 to $50 a month plus your own time, and you get what you put in. A freelancer or small studio typically charges $2,500 to $6,000 for a build, then you're on your own for hosting and updates. An agency build for a local business runs $6,500 to $12,000, with care plans of $100 to $250 a month on top.
The subscription model, which is what we do, spreads the build into a monthly price and includes hosting, security, updates, and changes. Ours is $250 a month with a 12-month start; after the first year you can keep going month to month or buy the site outright on a declining schedule.
What moves the price
Page count, whether you're selling online, whether you have photos and writing ready or need them made, and how many other systems the site has to talk to (booking, ordering, a CRM). A five-page site for a plumber with good photos is the bottom of the range. A store with 300 products and a custom design is the top.
Be suspicious of two things: a price with no scope attached, and a price that doesn't mention what happens after launch. A website is a running cost, not a one-time purchase, and the honest quotes say so.

Do I own my website if I pay monthly?
It depends on the company, so ask before you sign. With us, your domain and content are yours from day one, the site itself stays ours while you subscribe, and after 12 months you can buy it outright for a published price that drops every year.

Four to six weeks for a normal local business website, from the first conversation to launch, if you can get us your content in the first two. Online stores take six to ten. The most common delay is waiting on photos and writing, not on the build.
